Fire Season and Emergency Policy.
Fire Season
The Ray Holistic Health clinic is based in two locations, Blackwood and Kyneton, Victoria. The safety and wellbeing of our clients is of the utmost importance. Blackwood is a beautiful bush community in the Wombat State Forest, which is in a bushfire prone area. There can also be bushfire risk in Kyneton. It is important that we take precautions during fire season.
Fire season is generally November through to April, although this may change due to weather, seasonal variations and the impacts of climate change. Information about fire season can be found on the Country Fire Authority website: www.cfa.vic.gov.au Blackwood is in the Moorabool Shire and in the Central District. Kyneton is in the Macedon Ranges Shire and is also in the Central District.
It is recommended that visitors to the clinic during fire season;
Download the Vic Emergency app to their phone and activate warnings for bushfires
Ensure your phone is charged
Ensure your vehicle has enough petrol to travel via an alternate route if a detour is required
Keep bottled water in your vehicle
Keep a pure wool blanket in your car in case you get caught on the road
Bookings
All booking on Severe and Code Red days will be rescheduled by Ray Holistic Health.
If you are uncomfortable visiting the clinic due to the conditions during fire season do not hesitate to reschedule your booking. Cancellation fees will not be applicable in these instances.
