At Ray Holistic Health we use a gentle approach that creates a space for people to be their whole self. Holistic Counselling is an integral part of Mind Body Medicine because it considers the root cause of the problem, rather than focusing only on symptoms. 

Holistic Counselling is based on an understanding that the connections between psychological, emotional and physical symptoms can help us understand our patterns and behaviours. This includes how trauma and unresolved emotional distress can cause physical pain and symptoms and a disconnection from self.

What can you expect from a Holistic Counselling session?

Prior to a session a client will complete an intake form that provides a thorough overview of all symptoms, medical history, significant life experiences and their goals and expectations. This will allow the practitioner to start to map holistically what is happening for the client and it will allow further exploration to occur in the session together. 

During the session, the practitioner will support the client as they talk about their issues to gain clarity and develop a deeper inner awareness. During this process, the client's understanding of their emotions, beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns will start to unfold. 

Is Holistic Counselling safe?

Yes, Holistic Counselling is a safe, non-invasive therapy. People of any age, from children through to older adults, can use Holistic Counselling safely.
